Impact Semenyo was largely contained by the Magpies Saturday as he played in his usual attacking midfield role down the right flank. When he was on the ball his physical strength was menacing. His goal, a thunderous strike from the edge of the penalty area, was a classic example of what he can do. He was subbed after 79 minutes. The Ghanaian international is often used from the bench versus as a starter, and this was his first goal since December.

Impact Solanke looked sharp and dangerous Saturday. He scored when the Magpies keeper, Martin Dubravka, made an error which he pounced upon to push the ball home. He later assisted the Cherries second strike from Antonio Semenyo with his other two on-goal efforts being denied only by goalkeeping agility. The striker has scored three and delivered three assists in his last five outings bringing his goal tally to 14.

Impact Neto put in a pedestrian performance Saturday, not making any material errors. The shots that got the better of him were from the penalty spot and as a result of a goal area scramble. It has been seven games since the Brazilian last posted a clean sheet, and he will be challenged to record another in the Cherries next against title contenders Manchester City.

Impact Christie fired four shots Saturday but did not manage to place any on goal. His best chance was a miscued strike at close range that he should have buried in the net. The regular starting midfielder always puts in a high work rate but he is not being effective with his attacks. He has not scored this season and his last assist was back in December.

Impact Solanke had three efforts blocked Saturday. He was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet when he met a corner kick and placed the ball over the crossbar. He did deliver the Cherries only goal assist, finished by Marcos Senesi. He has created two assists and found the net six times in the Cherries last eight games. He has a good chance of building on that form in Bournemouth's next at Newcastle. The Magpies have not kept a clean sheet in their last eight matches.

It remains to be seen if Unal will start right away, especially given how hot Dominic Solanke has been all season long, but he's going to add another alternative upfront for the Cherries.

Sinisterra will now stick with Bournemouth long-term though he may play a more rotational role on either wing for the back half of the season.
