Impact Vera had a decent all-around performance and led Salt Lake in both clearances and blocks (the latter with a season-high three) to help them keep the clean sheet. The centerback also sent in the second-most crosses for his side. He did receive his third yellow card in the proccess, though.

However, he still looks to most likely be a regular starter this campaign once again despite his absence from the field against LAFC, as he started in 27 contests last season, and as previously stated, he got the start in the first two matches of the season. He should be a decent option for a defender this season, as he is also solid in the attack after registering four goal contributions last season, although he is yet to bag one this season, only having two shots, two interceptions, three tackles and six clearances in his two appearances.
