Re-signs with Chelsea Azpilicueta has signed a two-year contract with Chelsea following the expiration of his previous deal in the summer, the club announced Thursday. Impact Azpilicueta has been a rock with Chelsea for a decade now, but after consistently starting 36 Premier League games from 2015-19, his playing time has decreased the last two campaigns to just 24 starts each time. At 32-years-old, he will likely continue seeing less and less of the pitch, and Trevoh Chalobah may have surpassed him in the center-back depth chart by now, but Azpilicueta has committed to another two seasons in London regardless.
