Impact Machis was active throughout Thursday's training session, taking part in all team drills and avoiding any discomfort. This is good news for the forward, who surprisingly hasn't been ruled out for a Sunday clash with Espanyol despite picking up a calf injury against Celta Vigo.

Impact Machis picked up the calf injury during a 2-1 loss to Betis and is now sidelined with the problem. He was in partial training throughout the week and could return as soon as a Sunday clash with Espanyol.

Returning to Spain with Valladolid Machis has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with Real Valladolid after transferring from FC Juarez, the club announced Thursday.

Impact Machis scored just one goal across 11 Liga MX appearances (eight starts) during his roughly six-month stint in Mexico with Juarez, but the 29-year-old is now returning to Spain, where he has tallied 16 goals and 16 assists in La Liga during his time with Granada and Leganes from 2016-2022.
