GAME LOG
Comes off injured against Sociedad
Machis was subbed out of Thursday's defeat against Real Sociedad in the 24th minute after suffering an injury.
Impact
It is unclear whether Machis will be forced to miss additional game time due to his injury. Antonio Puertas or Ruben Rochina could fill in on the left wing next week against Celta Vigo if necessary.

ROTOWIRE
Creates two chances in draw
Machis created two chances from two crosses (one accurate) during Monday's 1-1 draw with Barcelona.
Impact
Machis tried to be an outlet in possession but he was never likely to get much going in a mostly lopsided match. He'll next face a solid Real Sociedad side, and Machis has yet to log any properly valuable performances just yet.

Takes two shots in loss
Machis put two shots off target and created one chance during 64 minutes of Monday's 2-1 loss to Real Betis.
Impact
Machis returned to the lineup after transfer rumors to Club America in Mexico fell through but he didn't have much to offer. With Ruben Rochina taking his place and setting up the goal, Machis now has competition to contend with as well, so putting on a good show in the next match against Barcelona will be important to improving his form.

Impact
Machis is back in the starting XI for Monday's match after missing the game before the break because of a hamstring injury. He hasn't started since the opener when he went 79 minutes, meaning a full 90 may not be likely against Betis.

ROTOWIRE
Makes five interceptions in draw
Machis made five interceptions and put one shot off target during Monday's scoreless draw with Villarreal.
Impact
Machis had more work to do defensively than in the attack as the hosts dominated possession throughout the contest. This shouldn't always be the case for Machis, though it's worth noting his opponent each week if looking for specific production out of him. Up next is a visit from Valencia.

ROTOWIRE
Plays second half in finale
Machis took two shots (both off target) and logged four inaccurate crosses during Sunday's scoreless draw with Getafe.
Impact
Machis came off the bench in each of the final two games of the season after featuring regularly in league, UEL and Copa del Rey matches. His final tally came out to five goals and five assists in La Liga, plus one more of each from the Europa League. By offering a steady 5.52 crosses per 90 all season as well, Machis offers consistent production even if his team's system isn't conducive to huge goal tallies from any attacker.

Takes one shot in loss
Machis put one shot off target in 54 minutes of Thursday's 4-1 loss to Real Madrid.
Impact
Machis had a poor performance after scoring two times in his previous three matches. Though this game didn't go so well, he could have an easier time against Deportivo Alaves, which have conceded the most goals to attacking players.
