Transfers to Betis Pezzella signed a four-year contract with Real Betis after transferring from Fiorentina, the club confirmed Thursday. Impact Pezzella returns to Betis, where he made 66 appearances in two seasons from 2015-17 before joining Fiorentina. The 30-year-old brings plenty of experience to the Spanish club's back line, having averaged between 33 and 34 starts per season in Serie A and La Liga over the last five years, and he just won the Copa America with Argentina this summer. Once he gets up to speed with his new team, he will likely partner Marc Bartra in central defense, and he could provide good veteran leadership and guidance to 21-year-old Juan Miranda.
