Jan Bednarek - Starting mid-week clash Bednarek (concussion) will be in the starting XI against Bournemouth on Thursday.

Impact Despite suffering a concussion versus Arsenal on Friday, Bednarek finds himself back in the starting XI for the 13th consecutive contest. While the central defender shouldn't be expected to offer much in terms of offensive production, he has zero shots on target this season, he should continue to rack up clearances, interceptions and tackles.

Impact While Bednarek could be an option Thursday, it'd be surprising if he started after not training all week. Then again, he's started every match since January under Selles and that could be enough to keep him in the XI Thursday despite returning from a concussion.

Impact Adams has been out more than a month with this injury, so re-injury is a concern, but at this point, at the bottom of the table, Selles may decide to move him back into the XI immediately. That said, Southampton were able to score without him against Arsenal, so there's a chance he'll open from the bench, which is the best move for Adams.

Impact Bednarek fell on the back of his head and had to be taken out of the match to enter concussion protocol. He has been mending the center of the defense of late, making 12 straight starts. Bednarek will continue to be monitored for a concussion, with either Ainsley Maitland-Niles or Duje Caleta-Car the options to start in his place Thursday against AFC Bournemouth if he is not ready to play.

Impact Even when healthy, Orsic wasn't even making the squad, so there's a chance that remains the case going forward.
