Impact Thompson will be back for 2025 after his contract option was picked up. The midfielder made 29 appearances for Toronto during his third season, but fell to six starts, his fewest in his time with Toronto. Thompson also failed to tally a goal contribution for the first time since joining Toronto. Still he should be a consistent depth option for 2025.

Tyrese Spicer - Returning for second year Spicer's contract option for 2025 was picked up, Toronto announced.
Impact Spicer made 19 appearances (13 starts) during his rookie year, and is now set to return to Toronto. The midfielder contributed to three goals, adding a pair himself and assisting once. The midfielder will be back for 2025 where he could be in for a larger role as he continues to progress.

Kevin Long - Option picked up Long (concussion) will be back in Toronto for 2025 after his contract option was picked up.
Impact Long's contract option for 2025 was picked up, and the defender is now set for another year with the club. The defender has done well since making the switch from England to Toronto, and he clearly did enough to earn the contract extension.

Deandre Kerr - Returning to Toronto Kerr is returning to Toronto after his contract option for 2025 was picked up.
Impact Kerr's third season in Toronto saw him play the fewest minutes, despite making 26 appearances. The striker was a backup throughout the season and did well in that role, scoring three times. He will remain a fringe option more likely than not moving into his fourth season north of the border.

Luka Gavran - Staying as backup Gavran is set to return to Toronto after his contract option for 2025 was picked up.
Impact Gavran has been the clear backup during his two years in Toronto, and he seems set to stay in that role for 2025. The goalkeeper has totaled 13 starts in MLS across those two years, keeping two clean sheets (both in 2024.)

Kobe Franklin - Set to return Franklin is returning to Toronto after his contract option for 2025 was picked up.
Impact Franklin played a minor role during his third season with Toronto, starting just five times but making 21 appearances. The defender's role dwindling evidently wasn't a big enough concern for the club to drop him, as instead he's now had his contract extended with an option. He will likely remain a depth option going forward.

Alonso Coello - Option accepted Coello will be back with Toronto for 2025 after his contract option was picked up.
Impact Coello played a major role during his second year with Toronto, and clearly showed enough to have his option picked up. The midfielder made 25 appearances (20 starts) and added a goal and pair of assists. Coello should continue to see more minutes in 2025.
