Florian Muller - Brilliant in playoff Muller made 19 Bundesliga appearances and started both legs of the relegation playoff during the 2022/23 campaign.

Impact Muller had a mixed-bag of a season, he opened as the starter and struggled, eventually ceding his role to Fabian Bredlow. Bredlow picked up an injury before the relegation playoffs, pushing Muller into the starting XI for the biggest games of the season. Across the two legs Muller was beaten just once and made some heroic saves. Muller is expected to depart Stuttgart and move to Freiburg to replace the out-going Mark Flekken, Freiburg are a top defensive unit and would give Muller major upside.

Hiroki Ito - Reliable as always Ito made 84 clearances and 40 tackles in 30 starts (29 appearances) during the 2022/23 Bundesliga.

Impact Ito was a reliable presence throughout the starting XI yet again. The defender took up his usual role in central defense while occasionally shifting to wing-back or midfield when needed. Ito also added 17 corners as he took a surprising role on set-pieces. The minor set-piece role and major defensive volume gives Ito a bright outlook heading into the 2023/24 season.

In the relegation playoff he tallied a pair of goals and an assist across two legs.
