FOX Sports Southwest announces Texas Rangers 2018 regular season local broadcast schedule

FOX Sports Southwest, the exclusive regional television home of the Texas Rangers, announced today it will televise a total of 157 Rangers games during the 2018 Major League Baseball regular season.

The Rangers will open the regular season with a matchup against the defending World Series Champion Houston Astros at Globe Life Park on Thursday, March 29. FOX Sports Southwest’s Opening Day coverage will begin at 1:00 p.m. CT with a special 90-minute Rangers LIVE pregame show leading up to the game broadcast at 2:30 p.m. CT.

Two Rangers games will air on FOX Sports Southwest Plus: Wednesday, April 4 at Oakland and Sunday, April 8 versus Toronto. FOX Sports Southwest Plus is used by FOX Sports Southwest to simultaneously show multiple events on two channels and is available to all TV providers that carry FOX Sports Southwest.

Five Rangers games are slated for national broadcast, including two on the FOX broadcast network, two on FS1 and one on ESPN.

Every Rangers telecast on FOX Sports Southwest, as well as FOX and FS1, will be available on FOX Sports GO, the live streaming platform that showcases all of FOX Sports’ events and studio programming through pay-TV providers.

FOX Sports GO is available on FOXSportsGO.com or on the free FOX Sports GO app, which can be downloaded from iTunes, Google PlayAmazon App Store and Windows Store. Streaming is also now available on several connected devices, including Apple TV, Android TV, FireTV and stick, Roku, Chromecast, Xbox One and YouTube TV.

Dave Raymond will be back in the broadcast booth for his second season as the Rangers’ television play-by-play announcer. Former big league pitcher CJ Nitkowski will also be back for his second season as an analyst, and will handle play-by-play responsibilities for select games during the season. Tom Grieve, who enters his 24th season as a Rangers broadcaster, will serve as an analyst on select game broadcasts as well as Rangers LIVE shows.

Emily Jones will once again provide sideline reports for the majority of home telecasts as well as numerous road games. Lesley McCaslin and John Rhadigan will also be utilized in the field reporter role throughout the season.

Rangers LIVE, the pre and postgame show for every Rangers game telecast on FOX Sports Southwest, along with the bi-weekly Rangers Insider show will return for the 2018 season with exclusive interviews and analysis. During home games, Rangers LIVE will originate from Globe Life Park; when the team is on the road, the show will be televised from the FOX Sports studios in Irving, TX. Rangers LIVE will air 30 minutes before and after every Rangers telecast, except where noted otherwise.

Dana Larson, Ric Renner and John Rhadigan will be the primary hosts on Rangers LIVE. Hall of Famer Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez, along with former Rangers Mark McLemore, Mike Bacsik, David Murphy, Darren Oliver and Jeff Frye will serve as analysts on the pre and postgame shows.  Erin Hartigan will host the Rangers Insider show.

Rangers telecasts on FOX Sports Southwest are available to over 10 million cable and satellite TV homes in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana.
