BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) Jaylen Adams scored 23 points with seven assists and St. Bonaventure defeated Niagara 79-69 on Saturday.

Adams was 7 of 11 from the field and 5 of 8 from the arc to lead the Bonnies (7-3), who bounced back from a one-point loss to UNC Wilmington to collect their sixth win in seven games. Denzel Gregg added 16 points and Matt Mobley 13. LaDarien Griffin had a career-high nine rebounds. Gregg blocked two shots to become the fifth Bonnie to reach 100 career blocks.

Kahlil Dukes scored 21 points and Dominic Robb 13 for the Purple Eagles (3-9).

The Bonnies never trailed and led 34-31 at halftime behind 12 points from Adams. Niagara got as close as two with 13:59 left in the game before Adams went on an 11-0 run with three 3-pointers and two free throws. Niagara didn't get closer than eight thereafter.

The game was part of the Big 4 Classic that included Canisius and Buffalo.
