Allman's late layup pushes CS Fullerton over UC Riverside (Feb 16, 2017)

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (AP) Kyle Allman scored 11 points and made a layup with 13.1 seconds remaining to lift Cal State Fullerton over UC Riverside 56-55 on Thursday night.

Lionheart Leslie made a 3-pointer to give the Titans a 45-44 lead with 6:14 left. UC Riverside stayed within two points and took a 55-54 lead when Secean Johnson made a pair of free throws with 44 seconds left. On the Titans' next possession, Dikymbe Martin blocked Leslie's jumper with 25 seconds left but Leslie recovered the ball and Allman scored the game-winner. After a UC Riverside timeout, Johnson missed a 3 at the buzzer.

Leslie scored 12 of his 13 points in the second half. Khalil Ahmad added 10 points for Cal State Fullerton (12-12, 6-5 Big West), which has won four of its last five games. Jackson Rowe matched a career-best with 16 rebounds and chipped in eight points.

Menno Dijkstra scored 17 points to lead UC Riverside (7-16, 5-7 Big West).
