Anderson expects Arkansas' underclassmen to return

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) Arkansas coach Mike Anderson says he expects each of the team's underclassmen to return to school next season, a year after the Razorbacks advanced to the NCAA Tournament for a second time in three seasons.

After finishing 16-16 last season, Arkansas improved to 26-10 this year - bolstered by the additions of junior-college transfers Jaylen Barford and Daryl Macon.

Anderson says he plans to meet with both players in the near future to discuss their futures, but he says ''I anticipate them being here.''

Macon was second on the Razorbacks in scoring with an average of 13.4 points per game. Barford averaged 12.8 points.

Arkansas was a No. 9 seed in the NCAA Tournament, winning its first-round game over Seton Hall before falling to top-seeded North Carolina in the second round.
