The Wildcats have already secured commits from the number one recruit DeAndre Ayton, and Arizona native, Alex Barcello in 2017. Despite the 2018 class being over a year away, the hard-working Sean Miller is at again, ensuring to keep the Arizona Basketball brand strong.
Possibly one of the more aggressive recruiters in college basketball, Miller is, of course, looking for more stand out players to bolster his recruiting classes and keep the Wildcats competitive in the seasons to come.
On Monday, Miller and the Wildcats received good news, as Akot, the 6’7” small forward from Utah, cut his list of schools to four. Arizona is of course on that list with; Utah, Oregon, and Louisville.

Despite being considered a five-star recruit from just about every recruiting website, not much is known about the young Akot who had been recently living in Canada. The athletic forward decided to move to the United States and transferred to Wasatch Academy in Logan, UT.
Akot possesses good size and athleticism at the position and certainly embodies that tough, hard-working mindset that Miller covets. He is a young and talented prospect who plays hard and has a high ceiling.
The 2018 recruiting class is not considered to be as deep of a class than in years past, but that certainly won’t stop Miller and the Wildcats from pursuing the best recruits, Akot just certainly appears to be one of them.
You can tell from his highlights the talent his possesses:
At Zona Zealots, we are certainly excited to see the efforts by the Arizona staff paying off. Congrats to Emmanuel on cutting his list, and wish him the best moving forward. BEARDOWN, Emmanuel!
