Arizona Basketball: Red-Blue Game Equals Success for Recruits in Attendance
Rarely does recruit visits go poorly, and that certainly did not change this weekend for the Arizona Basketball team who played host to a myriad of visitors.
Chalk up another successful weekend for Sean Miller and the Wildcats. Not only do the incoming freshmen, as well as the returning team look vastly improved, but Arizona is looking to build on that talent.
Playing host to a number of recruits this weekend, Miller can rest a bit easier knowing Arizona put their best foot forward with some of these kids.
As you may recall, we had informed you of those visiting Tucson this past weekend for the annual Red-Blue game.
Granted, Arizona did have a few recruits either not show up last-minute. No matter, as Miller and the Wildcats adjusted accordingly.
The Wildcats hosted a number of very high-profile visitors, and from the reaction on social media, you could say it was certainly a success.
Brandon Williams may be trimming down his list soon, but the family is no hurry to do so, they have a huge decision to make, and they want to take their time and chose the right school for Brandon. This was his second unofficial visit, and he would still have to set up an official visit if he was interested in Arizona.

The question now is just how successful of an event was it? That will certainly be seen in due time, but Arizona has to like its chances moving forward with a few of these recruits.
So much, in fact, that 2017 forward Ira Lee, will make his announcement this week. It is believed the decision will be between Arizona and conference rival, Cal, with Arizona having a good chance to secure its fourth commitment in this years’ class.
Granted we did not see any commitments at the event, and it is worth noting, rarely does that happen. Perhaps in the coming days, the Wildcats will see that work pay off.
Lee is certainly a coveted recruit. A four-star from California, he is considered a bit more of a long-term player with raw, untapped potential, a high motor and enough physicality and athleticism to make him a potentially great addition to the class.
Arizona definitely seemed to have hosted a fun, and entertaining Red and Blue game and their role as host could pay big dividends. At Zona Zealots, we are excited to see the return of basketball and would like to wish Ira Lee and everyone else luck in their college announcement. Bear Down, Arizona!
