Arkansas Hopes to Avoid Another Setback Against LSU
The Arkansas Razorbacks basketball team heads to Baton Rouge to take on the LSU Tigers.
The Arkansas Razorbacks basketball team has had a rough past couple games. With losses to Missouri and Vanderbilt, the Hogs look ahead to a trip to LSU.
With seven games left on the schedule and the Razorbacks sitting at 17-7 for the season and 6-5 in conference, the final stretch of the season is crucial for Arkansas. Next up for the Hogs is 13th in the SEC, LSU.
Arkansas has already beat LSU once this season when the Tigers went on the road to Fayetteville. The Hogs beat them 99-86 in that matchup but things have definitely changed for the Razorbacks since then.
Arkansas is riding the wave of a two-game losing streak, in both of which the Hogs looked terrible compared to how they had played earlier in the season. As bad as Arkansas has looked and how fans feel about these two past games, LSU has it MUCH worse.
Over a month ago, Mississippi State came into Baton Rouge and handed the Tigers a 17 point loss. Since that game, the Bayou Bengals haven’t won a single game, placing them on a 10 game losing streak. This should kind of put things into perspective for Hog fans. Yeah, two games and to who they lost to feels bad but at least it’s not a 10 game losing streak.
As bad as LSU is playing, though, I’m still a bit hesitant to say that Arkansas is going to beat them. Don’t get me wrong, they should beat them but the Hogs haven’t shown me anything lately to show me that they can pull off the win.

Tipoff for the matchup that will end someone’s losing streak is at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 11. You can catch the game on the SEC Network and the WatchESPN app. I may not feel great about the pick but I am gonna have to pick the Hogs by 2. Woo pig!
