Army returns home, overwhelms D-III SUNY Maritime. 91-40
WEST POINT, N.Y. (AP) — Josh Caldwell and Aaron Duhart each put up 11 points as Army used superior numbers to stop Division III State University of New York Maritime, 91-40 on Wednesday.
The Black Knights played just their second home game after dropping four straight on the road, starting with a loss at Duke.
Army (2-4) had 17 players see action; 13 figured in the scoring. The Black Knights' bench scored 51 points. Matt Wilson, Army's leading scorer, finished with just six points but grabbed 10 rebounds. Overall, Army was 34 of 74 from the field (45.9 percent), including 12 of 45 from beyond the 3-point line and held a 54-31 advantage on the boards.
Brendan McGovern, the lone player to reach double-figures, scored 11 points for the Privateers, who were held to just 13 of 55 shooting from the field.
