Asked about milestone win, Kansas coach Bill Self gets off pretty good line
Saturday marked a milestone win for Kansas coach Bill Self. With a 76-67 victory over Texas, Self won his 200th home game. That runs his record at Allen Fieldhouse to a remarkable 200-9.

Self was asked afterward to reflect upon that achievement, and he was more humorous than reflective.
Suppose, upon his hiring in 2003, he'd been told he would post a 200-9 home record? Self replied (via the Associated Press): "I know what the fans would have said: `Why did you lose those nine games?'"
Self was also asked about sticking with his starters for most of Saturday's game, giving his bench just 29 total minutes via three players.
"This isn't a popularity contest," Self said. "This isn't having cookies and milk after the game."
Pretty tough talk. But mostly we feel sorry for the Kansas players, because the only thing better than an alley-oop dunk is dunking Oreos into a cold glass of milk.
