Bethune-Cookman runs away from Maryland-Eastern Shore, 87-67 (Feb 10, 2018)
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) Isaiah Bailey turned in a career high 24 points, six boards, seven assists and four steals to help power Bethune-Cookman to an 87-67 win over Maryland-Eastern Shore on Saturday.
The Wildcats shot 53 percent from the field in the first half to take a 41-29 lead at the break. Maryland-Eastern Shore closed in a rush, hitting 11 of its first 12 shots in the second half to cut its deficit to 56-54 with 11:05 left.
Bailey then sparked an 11-0 Bethune-Cookman run with six points of his own and the Wildcats pulled way down the stretch.
Bailey finished 11 of 12 from the free throw line for the Wildcats (13-12, 7-3 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference). Shawntrez Davis added 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and Brandon Tabb added 16 points and five assists and Souofiyane Diakite grabbed 10 caroms.
Tyler Jones and Miryne Thomas each scored 21 points for the Hawks (6-20, 2-9).
