Boston College players sick from Chipotle returned to practice on Tuesday

Published Dec. 8, 2015 1:52 p.m. ET

On Monday, a Chipotle restaurant located less than two miles from the Boston College campus was closed and investigated after 30 customers, eight of whom were basketball players, became sick and were showing signs of E.coli.

According to Kevin McNamara of the Providence Journal, all the eight players returned to practice on Tuesday. The team is scheduled to play Providence on Wednesday.

With eight players sick -- and leading scorer Eli Carter battling an ankle injury -- there were concerns that BC would not be able to field a team. Several players, including Dennis Clifford, the team's third leading scorer, were absent from Sunday's 68-66 loss to UMass Lowell because of the food poisoning.
