Bucknell's hot second half helps Bison top BU 70-59 (Jan 21, 2017)

LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) Nana Foulland tied a career-high with 23 points, Kimbal Mackenzie added 12, and Bucknell exploded for 48 second-half points en route to a 70-59 win over Boston University on Saturday.

Trailing 52-46 with 7:44 remaining, the Bison finished on a 24-7 run, including 10 straight points to take a 56-52 lead, capped by Kimbal Mackenzie's 3-pointer with 4:36 remaining.

Foulland shot 11 of 15 from the field and finished with six rebounds and four blocks for Bucknell (15-6, 7-1), which opened a two-game lead over BU and Navy in the Patriot League.

The Terriers (10-10, 5-3) led 29-22 at halftime thanks to nine points off 12 turnovers forced and holding Bucknell to 7-of-20 shooting. But the Bison made 17 of 26 from the field in the second half (65.4 percent), including 4 of 7 on 3s after making none in the first half.

Justin Alston finished with 20 points on 10-of-17 shooting for BU. Kyle Foreman added 11 points and seven assists.
