NEWARK, Del. (AP) Eric Carter had 17 points and a season-high 13 rebounds to help Delaware beat Drexel 72-66 on Thursday night.

Delaware (10-8, 3-2 Colonial Athletic Association) has won five of its last nine at home. Drexel (7-11, 1-4) has lost five of its last six games.

A 15-6 run cut Drexel's deficit to 69-66 with 1:19 to play. Tramaine Isabell missed a 3-point shot that would have tied it for the Dragons with 39 seconds left before Delaware made 3 of 4 free throws.

Carter scored 11 points in the second half, and has reached double-figure scoring in six of his last eight games. Ryan Allen added 15 points, and Ryan Daly, who had a season-high 27 points in Delaware's 20-point win against UNC Wilmington on Sunday, chipped in 13 points.
