Chris Boucher Leads Oregon Ducks Over Valparaiso
Oregon found the right shots and they landed at a close to 50 percent clip for the game in a win over Valparaiso.

The Oregon Ducks looked to recover from a rough outing on Tuesday at Baylor. Dana Altman’s team did not look like the number four team in the country and he knew that going in. In fact, he has been very up front over the last tAwo weeks about how Oregon is not ‘there’ yet. It clearly showed with a 3 for 21 from beyond the arc performance against the Baylor Bears where the team shot near 30 percent for the game.
Oregon took the loss and learned from it. The Ducks Offense started the game hot from beyond the arc. Chris Boucher found his game with 16 points shooting 6 for 8 and two monster slam dunks in the first half. The Ducks took a nine point lead and squandered it allowing Valpo back in the final minutes of the first half. Oregon held the Crusaders scoreless for the last three minutes of the half and hot two free throws to close the half leading 37-30.
The Oregon Ducks started the second half continuing their 3-point pace. They also began to pull away to lead in rebounds midway through the period at 30 to 21 on the boards. Dana Altman’s team took a 59-40 lead as Payton Pritchard hit a three-pointer with just under 10 minutes left in the game as the Ducks rolled with a 7-0 run.
Chris Boucher finished the game with 25 points and led Oregon with 9 rebounds. The Ducks shot 48 percent for the game and better than 50 percent for the second half in a 76-54 win.
Oregon heads to Hawaii to face Georgetown on Monday in the Maui Jim Maui Invitational, 1:30pm PT on ESPN2.
