Cobb leads Cincinnati over Bowling Green 83-50

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) Farad Cobb made six 3-pointers on his way to 20 points and Cincinnati used a big second half to beat Bowling Green 83-50 on Wednesday night.

Shaq Thomas and Jacob Evans added 10 each for the Bearcats (3-0). Coreontae DeBerry had 12 rebounds and Gary Clark 10 to lead a 49-38 edge on the boards.

Cincinnati led by four, 35-31, at halftime but opened the second half on an 18-2 run before the Falcons (1-1) got their first field goal with 14:02 left. Cobb had eight points during the run, including two 3-pointers. Troy Caupain's 3-pointer put the Bearcats up 61-35 with 11:15 left.

Zack Denny had 13 points and Spencer Parker 10 for the Falcons.

Bowling Green shot just 29.3 percent to Cincinnati's 47. The Bearcats made 13 of 30 3 pointers for 43.3 percent.
