Coby leads Columbia to 96-68 win over Central Pennsylvania

NEW YORK (AP) Jeff Coby finished with 20 points and 13 rebounds - both career highs - and Grant Mullins scored 21 on 8-of-12 shooting to help Columbia pull away in the second half for a 96-68 win over Central Pennsylvania College on Saturday night.

Coby made 9 of 11 field goals.

Luke Petrasek had 11 points, nine rebounds, four assists and three blocked shots for Columbia (11-7). Freshman C.J. Davis grabbed a season-high 11 rebounds as the Lions pulled down a season-high 61 boards.

The game served as an exhibition for Central Pennsylvania, a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association Division II.

Columbia took a 44-39 lead into halftime, but shot 52.6 percent (20 of 38) and forced the Knights into 13 turnovers in the second half.

Dominique Twiggs and Tyree Tucker scored 15 apiece for Central Pennsylvania.

Columbia beat the Knights 112-63 last season.
