Creighton's Ronnie Harrell out with foot injury
Creighton's injury woes continue days before the team's home-opener.
On Monday, Steve Pivovar of the Omaha World-Herald reported that redshirt guard Ronnie Harrell will miss three weeks after suffering a stress fracture. He apparently injured his left foot before Creighton's exhibition win over Upper Iowa on Saturday.
The 6-foot-7 Harrell logged 15 minutes off the bench, scoring seven points and recording two assists. He sat out last season along with transfers Maurice Watson Jr. and Cole Huff. All three are expected to provide major contributions for the Bluejays this season.
This preseason has been plagued with injuries for Creighton, with Zach Hanson, Toby Hegner, Isaiah Zierden and transfer Marcus Foster all spending time on the sidelines.
Creighton hosts Texas Southern on Saturday.
