Oregon uses early second half run to earn 8th straight win.

The Oregon Ducks Men’s Basketball team has been a team of different halfs this season and the second half on Saturday night propelled the team to a win over UNLV. The first half was anything but perfect for Oregon.

It was the first start of the season for Dillon Brooks. The Ducks led by four points at the end of the first half, but the second half was a different story. Dana Altman watched his team start on an 18-4 run which UNLV never recovered.

Brooks showed he is officially back hitting mid range shots and taking the ball to the basket. He even had an incredible save as he lept out of bounds to save the ball throwing to Casey Benson. He led the team in scoring with 20 points going 8 for 14 from the floor.

The team played without Chris Boucher who suffered a sprained ankle in practice this week. He was seen in a boot during pregame warmups causing Oregon fans everywhere to hold their breath. One player stepped into the role and played well.

Jordan Bell had a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds against the Runnin’ Rebels. The Ducks went inside for 46 points and had 15 points off the bench as Oregon hit 53 percent from the floor for their 10th win and 8th in a row.

Oregon has one more tune-up before 2nd ranked UCLA comes to Matthew Knight Arena. The Ducks welcome Fresno State on Tuesday for an 8pm Pacific Time tipoff on Pac-12 Networks.
