Egekeze, Windler lead Belmont past Green Bay 86-75 (Dec 02, 2017)
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Amanze Egekeze scored 21 points and Dylan Windler added 20 and led his team with 10 rebounds as Belmont snapped a three-game slide, beating Green Bay 86-75 on Saturday.
It was Windler's seventh double-double this season. He was 7 of 14 from the field including six 3-pointers for the Bruins (5-4). Mack Mercer scored 19 points off the bench and Kevin McClain had 11 points and five assists.
Belmont trailed 42-35 at the break but a Windler 3-pointer to start the second half sparked a 14-3 run that put the Bruins on top 49-45. Later, McClain sank a pair of 3s as part of a 12-7 surge that extended their advantage to 76-68 with 4:11 to play.
Green Bay cut it to 76-74 with 3:01 remaining before the Bruins finished on a 10-1 run to secure the win.
David Jesperson and Kameron Hankerson scored 16 points apiece for the Phoenix (2-4). Hankerson led with seven rebounds.
