Even Coach K's son-in-law thinks it was 'a bad look' to lecture Dillon Brooks

After initially denying that he had lectured Oregon's Dillon Brooks for taking a 3-pointer in the final seconds of comfortable Sweet Sixteen victory over Duke, Blue Devils Coach Mike Krzyzewski did an about-face and issued a statement apologizing for the incident on Saturday.

"You're too good of a player to do that" Coach K was heard telling Brooks in the handshake line. "You're too good of a player."

Oregon later exited the tournament in a loss to Oklahoma and on Monday, Coach K's own son-in-law, fomer Duke assisant Chris Spatola who's currently an ESPNU analyst and host of "Basketball and Beyond" on SirusXM, offered a bit more depth on what became an embarrassing sideshow to the NCAA men's basketall tournament.

From Spatola's appearance on Ken Carman and Anthony Lima on Cleveland’s 92.3 The Fan:

Spatola didn't say anything condeming Coach K's actions that the coach himself didn't acknowledge, albiet after he "reacted incorrectly" to the reporter who inquired about it.
