LAS VEGAS (AP) Frankie Ferrari hit big shots down the stretch and finished with 17 points and eight assists to help No. 5 seed San Francisco hold off sixth-seeded Pacific 71-70 in overtime in a quarterfinal of the West Coast Conference Tournament on Saturday.

Ferrari buried a 3-pointer and Matt McCarthy followed with a dunk and a layup in 7-0 run that gave the Dons (18-14) a 59-56 lead with 2:02 left to play in regulation. Miles Reynolds made two free throws to pull the Tigers (14-18) within a point, but Ferrari answered with a 3 to make it a two-possession game.

Pacific's Anthony Townes and Reynolds both hit two free throws to knot the score at 62 with 32 seconds remaining. But Ferrari came through again, sinking a jumper with six seconds left. Pacific's Jahlil Tripp missed a layup but Townes tipped it in before the buzzer to send the game to overtime.

Ratinho sank a 3 and Ferrari and McCarthy had back-to-back layups to give the Dons a 71-66 lead with 2:58 left in the extra period. Although the Dons wouldn't score again, Pacific only managed to score four points on two free throws and a layup by Tripp. San Francisco advances to play either top-seeded Gonzaga or No. 8 seed Loyola Marymount in a semifinal on Monday.
