Flavor Flav showed up at the Big Ten tourney to will Penn State to victory

It's Wednesday of conference tournament week, which means your TV is loaded with games between major programs that finished 6-12 in conference play but still somehow might make it into the great participation trophy that is the NCAA Tournament's field of 68, if they can win one or two or three more games.

From that ocean of mediocrity comes this true greatness. Yes, it's Flavor Flav, clock and all, at the Big Ten tournament.

What brings you to Washington, DC, Mr. Flav? His cousin, Shep Garner, plays for Penn State, who was going up against Nebraska in the first round of the tournament when the rapper was spotted in the arena.

Perhaps Garner was inspired by his cousin's presence. He scored 16 points off the bench, including seven in overtime, as the Nittany Lions held off the Cornhuskers to live another day. Garner made four 3-pointers, and Flavor loved every one of them:

Yeah, boy.

At 15-17, Penn State is not on anyone's bubble, but no one will be disappointed if the Lions tear through the Big Ten tournament and adopt Flavor as their good luck charm.
