Florida Gulf Coast slips past North Dakota in 73-60 win

FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) Marc Eddy Norelia had 18 points and 10 rebounds, and Florida Gulf Coast pulled away for a 73-60 win over North Dakota on Sunday.

Antravious Simmons added 12 points, Christian Terrell had 11 and Reggie Reid dished out nine assists for FGCU (3-1), which overcame weak shooting in the first half to finish 29 of 59 from the field. Norelia has had three double-doubles in four games.

Trailing by three at the break, FGCU took the lead for good during a 7-0 spurt sparked by Reid's 3-pointer to made it 46-40 with 12:14 to play. The Eagles stretched their advantage with an 8-0 run that included three straight buckets from Norelia to make it 67-53 with 3:25 left, and protected it down the stretch.

Cortez Seales led North Dakota (2-2) with 15 points and Quinton Hooker added 14 points to go with nine rebounds.
