Former Arizona basketball player Michael Wright found dead in car
Michael Wright, a former forward for the University of Arizona, was found dead in the back of his car on Tuesday night. He was 35.
Wright was found dead in his Lexus SUV in Brooklyn under a pile of trash bags, officials told the New York Daily News. The former New York Knicks draft pick and native of New Jersey reportedly was discovered with a head wound.
Autopsy results weren't yet available, but police are investigating his death as a homicide, the Daily News reported. The medical examiner has ruled Wright's death a homicide. There have been no arrests.
Police went to the area to search for Wright, last seen Nov. 5, after a request from New Jersey police.

Wright played three seasons for Arizona from 1998 to 2001. He was drafted 39th overall by the Knicks in 2001 but ended up pursuing a basketball career overseas in Poland, Turkey and France.
