Foster leads Creighton's rout of Alcorn State, 109-72 (Nov 12, 2017)

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) Marcus Foster scored 23 points in just 18 minutes of action as Creighton pummeled Alcorn State, 109-72 to win their second straight game to start the season Sunday night.

The game is part of the Hall of Fame Classic tournament as are Creighton's games with UCLA and against Baylor or Wisconsin at the Sprint Center in Kansas City.

Alcorn State dropped its second game after falling to LSU in its opener, 99-59. The Braves jumped to a 5-0 lead, but the Bluejays took the lead for good on Foster's 3-pointer five minutes in and by halftime extended it to 13, 49-36.

Foster hit 8 of 9 shots from the field, including 5 of 6 from deep, while the Bluejays overall hit 33 of 59 field goal attempts (55.9 percent). The Creighton bench scored 55 points.
