Four-star 2016 guard Zach Norvell commits to Gonzaga over Georgetown and others
Mark Few added to a strong incoming class on Monday morning with the addition of shooting guard Zach Norvell. The 6-foot-4 guard, who attends powerhouse Simeon Career Academy in Chicago, announced his decision on Twitter.
Norvell, the consensus four-star recruit, committed to the Zags over the other finalists: Georgetown, Florida State and Iowa State. He joins a class that includes 2016 big men Killian Tillie and Zach Collins. Missouri transfer Johnathan Williams and Washington commit Nigel Williams-Goss are also part of that incoming class, as both are sitting out the 2015-16 season due to NCAA transfer rules.
In the summer, Norvell played for Mac Irvin Fire. In 22 appearances in the Nike EYBL, he averaged 14.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 2.2 steals per game.
