BUIES CREEK, N.C. (AP) Jalone Friday scored half of his 14 points in overtime, including the go-ahead 3-pointer with 12.9 seconds to play, and Abilene Christian edged Campbell 85-80 in overtime on Friday at the Creek Classic.
After Friday's trey, Chris Clemons made 1 of 2 free throws, cutting the deficit to 81-80. A quick foul let Payten Ricks make a pair of free throws with 7.2 seconds to play and Isaiah Tripp sealed it with a steal and two free throws.
Jaren Lewis scored 17 points, 11 in the first half when Abilene Christian shot 65.6 percent, with 10 rebounds and Tevin Foster had 15 points with seven assists for the Wildcats (3-2).
Marcus Burk had 22 points, Clemons 16 - making 9 of 10 free throws - and Shane Whitfield 15 for the Camels (2-3), who trailed 46-35 at the half.
Burk hit a 3-pointer from the top of the key with 2.7 seconds left in regulation to force OT.
Whitfield had five points and Clemons four in a 13-0 Campbell run that tied the game at 50 early in the second half. A 7-0 run gave the Camels a 57-54 and the game stayed within three points the rest of the way.
