FSU Basketball Picked to Finish 8th in Preseason ACC Media Poll
FSU basketball found themselves smack in the middle of the preseason ACC predictions as the media thinks the Seminoles will finish in eighth place.
With less than three weeks to go until the start of the 2016-17 college basketball season, FSU basketball is finding themselves in a position where they could end up dancing in the big tournament instead of settling for second fiddle.
The ‘Noles return several top players from last year’s team – including freshman sensation Dwayne Back and upperclassman Xavier Rathan-Mayes – and have a top ten recruiting class coming into Tallahassee this season.
While expectations are high among head coach Leonard Hamilton’s team and the fan base, the media members who cover the ACC think the Seminoles are going to be in the middle of the road in the ACC this season.
At the annual media days, the Seminoles were voted to finish in eighth place when it’s all said and done – behind power schools like Duke, North Carolina, Syracuse, Louisville and several more:

The Seminoles are coming off an 11th place finish in the ACC last season, missing the NCAA Tournament for the fourth straight year. They will open the season on November 12th when FSU basketball host Charleston Southern.
