JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) Devin Sibley scored 17 points, including a late 4-point play, to help Furman beat East Tennessee State 79-76 on Sunday for its sixth straight victory.

Furman (22-9, 13-5) secured the No. 3 seed in the Southern Conference Tournament and ETSU (23-8, 14-4), which has lost three of four games, will have a top-two seed.

Sibley's made 3 and free throw broke a tie at 71 and on Furman's next possession, Daniel Fowler made two free throws for his first points of the second half to make it 77-72.

John Davis III split a pair of free throws on two straight Furman trips with under 16 seconds to go and Devontavius Payne's potential game-tying 3-pointer rattled out at the buzzer.
