Georgia State pulls away to beat Wright State 59-46

DAYTON, Ohio (AP) Jeff Thomas scored 12, Markus Crider had 10 points and eight boards, and Georgia State beat Wright State 59-46 on Friday night.

Georgia State (4-2) pulled away with a 19-7 stretch to start the second half, making nine of its first 10 field-goal attempts to lead 43-27 on T.J. Shipes layup with 11:15 left.

Wright State (3-5) got within 51-44 on Justin Mitchell's free throws with 2:53 left. The Panthers made all six free throws from there and the Raiders would get no closer.

JT Yoho was 3 of 6 from 3-point range with 15 points to lead Wright State, which shot 9 of 21 from distance. Georgia State shot 52.4 percent from the field, attempting only eight 3-pointers.

The Panthers took the lead for good with a 5-0 run on Thomas's 3-pointer and Crider's dunk to close the first half up 24-20.
