Gorham powers Towson to 75-71 win over Delaware (Feb 01, 2018)

NEWARK, Del. (AP) Justin Gorham notched his second double-double of the season with 21 points and 12 rebounds and Towson hit 6 of 6 free throws in the final seven seconds to turn back Delaware 75-71 on Thursday night.

Zane Martin sank two free throws with 1:25 left in the game to give the Tigers (16-8, 6-5 Colonial Athletic Association) a 65-63 lead. Jacob Cushing answered with a 3-pointer to put Delaware (11-13, 4-7) up 66-65. The two teams traded baskets before Gorham scored on a layup to give the Tigers a 69-68 lead with 21 seconds remaining. The Blue Hens turned the ball over on their next possession and were forced to foul down the stretch. Mike Morsell made four straight free throws and Eddie Keith II hit two to preserve the win.

Martin finished with 15 points, seven rebounds and six assists for Towson, while Morsell added 18 points and seven boards.

Ryan Allen hit 5 of 7 from 3-point range and scored 22 with four assists for Delaware. Anthony Mosley had 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting, Eric Carter added 12 points and three blocked shots and Skye Johnson tallied 10 points and nine rebounds.
