Alec Brown blocked a Horizon League-record 11 shots and Kiefer Sykes made two free throws with three seconds left as Green Bay defeated Wright State 57-56 on Saturday.

Sykes, who turned 18 on Dec. 30 and is believed to be the youngest player in Division I, led the Phoenix (7-10, 3-4) with 16 points, and Kam Cerroni added 11. Brown had nine points, and his shot-block total eclipsed his own school record of eight and the Horizon mark of nine by Scott VanderMeer of Illinois-Chicago in 2007.

The Division I blocks record is 16, by Mickell Gladness of Alabama A&M against Texas Southern on Feb. 24, 2007.

Julius Mays scored 15 points and Reggie Arceneaux 11 for the Raiders (9-11, 4-4).

Green Bay overcame a 17-point second-half deficit to lead by two in the final minute, but Mays' three-point play with 13 seconds remaining gave Wright State a 56-55 advantage. The Phoenix took possession, and Sykes was fouled by Tavares Sledge.
