BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) Tyler Hall scored 32 points and Montana State beat NAIA Montana Western 109-81 on Wednesday night.

Hall was 9 of 12 from the floor and made seven 3-pointers. Harald Frey added 16 points and six assists for Montana State (2-1).

Kooper Kidgell had 15 points to lead Montana Western.

The Bobcats had a 10-point halftime lead, but Riley King and Zaccheus Darko-Kelly made back-to-back 3s to pull the Bulldogs to 65-60 with 14:40 left. Devonte Klines answered with a 3-pointer, sparking a 15-10 spurt and an 89-70 lead with about nine minutes left. Hall scored eight points and Frey chipped in four during the stretch.

Montana State finished 15 of 26 (58 percent) from long range.

The Bobcats play at Louisiana Tech on Saturday before beginning the Cancun Challenge against Binghamton on Tuesday.
