Harvard earns sweep of rival Yale, keeps pace with Princeton (Feb 24, 2017)

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) Bryce Aiken scored 22 points, added five assists, and Harvard earned the season sweep of rival Yale with a 77-64 victory on Friday night.

The Crimson (17-7, 9-2 Ivy League), who have won five straight and are 16-3 since opening the season 1-4, sit two games behind undefeated Princeton with three games remaining. Harvard plays the Tigers on March 3.

Aiken hit five 3-pointers and finished 7 of 14 overall. Seth Towns finished with 18 points and Zena Edosomwan added 15 for Harvard, which shot 55.4 percent from the field.

Alex Copeland led Yale (14-10, 6-5) with 20 points while Sam Downey added 15.

The Bulldogs led by five at halftime but the Crimson erased that within two minutes, taking a 37-36 lead on a Towns steal and dunk. Harvard, which never trailed again, opened a 15-point lead on an Aiken 3 with 8:18 left and cruised to the finish.
