Haws, Childs lead BYU over Alabama A&M 91-60

PROVO, Utah (AP) — TJ Haws scored 19 points on 9-of-12 shooting, Yoeli Childs added 18 points and 12 rebounds, and BYU beat Alabama A&M 91-60 on Saturday.

Childs recorded his fifth straight double-double, the seventh longest double-double streak in program history.

Zac Seljaas was 5 of 8 from 3-point range and added 15 points for the Cougars (4-1). Seljaas became the 12th fastest player in BYU history to score 100 career 3-pointers (75 games).

BYU opened with a 12-2 lead and led by double digits the rest of the way after taking a 19-7 lead on Connor Harding's 3-pointer with 10:15 left in the first half. BYU capped the half with one of Seljaas' 3-pointers to lead 46-24 at the break and extended to its largest lead at 89-49 late in the second half.

Evan Wiley had 18 points and Jalen Reeder scored 11 for the Bulldogs (0-4).
