Holden, King-Davis lift South Florida over Delaware 67-58

NEWARK, Del. (AP) Kory Holden scored 23 points, Marvin King-Davis added 16 with a career-high 18 rebounds and Delaware used the free throw line to turn back South Florida 67-58 on Thursday night.

The Blue Hens (4-2), shot 24 percent in the second half (6 of 25) but made 21 of 29 free throws. Holden hit 9 of 12 and Maurice Jeffers, who had 11 of his 13 points in the second half, hit 7 of 9. Delaware finished 29 of 37 from the line with Holden going 11 of 14 and Jeffers 9 of 11.

Roddy Peters had 14 points for the Bulls (2-5).

Delaware closed the first half with an 11-0 run, capped by Holden's 3 at the buzzer to lead 33-19.

Nehemias Morillo had two 3-pointers and the Bulls cut the deficit to four midway through the second half but Delaware responded with eight straight points during a 15-1 run.
