Holloway's 20 powers Georgia State past Alabama A&M, 94-79 (Dec 14, 2016)
ATLANTA (AP) Jeremy Holloway put up 20 points and pulled down seven boards to help power Georgia State past winless Alabama A&M 94-79 for the Panthers' fourth straight win at home to start the season Wednesday night.
Holloway shot 7 of 12 from the field, but was especially deadly from the outside, knocking down 4 of 5 from beyond the arc.
D'Marcus Simonds added 18 points and Malik Benlevi contributed 17 as the Panthers (6-3) shot 54.7 percent from the field (35 of 64), including 8 of 19 from distance.
Quinterian McConico, who came into the game averaging 9.8 points per game, went off for a season-high 30 for Alabama A&M (0-9). McConico was 11 of 15 from the field and 8-for-8 from the free throw line while grabbing 10 rebounds.
Georgia State coach Ron Hunter picked up his school-record 108th win Saturday and added to that total.
