Hooker, North Dakota take down N. Colorado 87-77 in OT (Feb 04, 2017)

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) Quinton Hooker scored 26 points with six steals, five rebounds, and four assists and Connor Avants added 15 points to lift North Dakota past Northern Colorado 87-77 in overtime on Saturday.

North Dakota (13-8, 8-3 Big Sky) used a 9-0 run to start overtime. DJ Miles hit a 3 and followed with a layup to bring Northern Colorado to within 80-77 with 56 seconds to go but the Bears couldn't get closer.

Jordan Davis made a layup with three seconds left going coast-to-coast to tie it at 69 to force overtime. Hooker made a pair of free throws with nine seconds left to put North Dakota up 69-67.

After Chazz Glotta's 3 with 78 seconds left put the Bears up 67-64, Avants converted a 3-point play off a layup, tying it at 67 with 41 seconds left in regulation.

Geno Crandall had 13 points for the Fighting Hawks, Corey Baldwin had 12 before fouling out, and Cortez Seales had 11. Drick Bernstine grabbed 10 rebounds and blocked three shots for North Dakota.

Glotta led Northern Colorado (8-14, 4-7) with 22 points and Davis had 18.
