Hot-shooting Towson upends CAA leader William & Mary 99-73 (Jan 13, 2018)

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) Mike Morsell scored 23 points, making 5 of 6 behind the 3-point line, and Zane Martin added 20 points as Towson shot 64 percent from the floor to wallop William & Mary 99-73 on Saturday.

The loss was the first in Colonial Athletic Association play for William & Mary (12-5, 5-1), and ended a five-game win streak. Towson (13-6, 3-3) made 13 3-pointers in 22 attempts (59 percent) and placed six in double figures. Eddie Keith II added 15 points, Brian Starr 13, Deshaun Morman 11 and Justin Gorham 10 for the Tigers.

Towson trailed by as many as 13 before catching up to lead 49-43 at halftime. The Tigers pushed that lead to 75-55 on a Morsell 3-pointer with 10:52 left in the game.

Nathan Knight led the Tribe with 22 points and David Cohn added 20 - only two after halftime - as shots wouldn't fall in the second half. William & Mary made 9 of 23 after halftime and just 1 of 10 from distance.
