Howard-Delaware St game postponed due to clock issue
DOVER, Del. (AP) Delaware State's men's basketball game against Howard has been postponed because of a clock malfunction and will be made up at a later date.
The game was called with 15:41 remaining in the second half, with Howard (8-9, 2-1 MEAC) leading the Hornets (1-14, 0-1) 41-38. The game was delayed for over 30 minutes before officials decided to suspend the game.
An official make-up date has yet to be announced; however officials from the two schools and the MEAC Conference will meet to determine when the game will be finished. Monday was the only match-up scheduled between the two conference rivals; they are not scheduled to meet again in the regular season.
Both teams are set to return to action Saturday, with Howard staying on the road to meet Harvard while Delaware State plays at South Carolina State.
