CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) Highly touted Miami Hurricanes freshman guard Lonnie Walker IV is nursing a twisted left ankle, but coach Jim Larranaga says he doesn't think the injury is serious.

Walker was hurt Thursday night when he stepped on another player during the first half of the 11th-ranked Hurricanes' 90-59 win over Florida A&M. Walker collapsed to the court and pounded it angrily with his fist. He rose and immediately was assisted to the locker room.

The Hurricanes are scheduled to play La Salle next Wednesday in Walker's hometown of Reading, Pennsylvania. Larranaga says he thinks Walker will be able to play.

Walker is widely projected as an NBA first-round draft pick next year.
